Add water to the vase as it is absorbed by the flowers and evaporates during the day. This is especially true in the heat and in rooms with dry air. There should be enough water in the container so that a third of the stems are immersed in water. Remove leaves from the water, as well as withered parts of flowers – they provoke the development of bacteria that accelerate the spoilage of flowers. Use special additives that prolong the life of plants. Do not use sugar or other folk remedies! Keep an eye on the amount of water in the vase, as many flowers, such as tulips and peonies, consume large amounts of it. If the flower stalks are placed in a floral sponge, water should be added to it every 1-2 days to keep it moist. If the bouquet or composition has flowers on floral extensions, you need to add water to them as the plant absorbs water. Decorative elements on wooden extensions and short branches of greenery do not require special care and water nutrition. It is not recommended to leave bouquets without water for a long time, leave bouquets and compositions in a car with an engine running for more than 5 minutes (especially in winter and in the heat), and also carry fresh flowers at temperatures below +2 degrees without insulation.
